Our Sunday services follow this schedule:

Holme: 9am

Burton: 11am

Some weeks both congregations meet together at 10am instead.  Check welcome page for upcoming dates

We are delighted to welcome babies and children and we love hearing them in our services as people of all ages come together to worship God. We have toys and other activity material available.  Each church is equipped with a toilet and a room which parents and children can use when they need a break from the service.  Our families support team is available to help as needed and to offer an activity for children during part of the service.

We take safeguarding seriously and our families support team has been cleared for work with children.

Here you can listen to the Podcasts of our Sunday sermons during this month:

The book of Hebrews is an appeal.  The writer is not an academic theologian writing a dissertation on the relationship between the Old Covenant and the New (although the book certainly includes that theme).  Rather he is a pastor, deeply concerned because his readers, having begun with Christ, are in great danger.  Nearly 40 years after Jesus’ crucifixion many Jewish Christians are growing discouraged with the apparent failure of the Gospel and their persecution at the hands of other Jews (and Romans) and they are tempted to scuttle back to their Jewish roots and to anchor their lives once again to the apparently solid rock of temple sacrifices, Mosaic law and Jewish worship.  The writer knows that they will only be kept safe by a solid understanding of the person of Christ and a wholehearted confidence in Christ’s work and reign.
